Sundays booty.

Bought these on Sunday, someone brought them around for me. I paid £25.00 the lot (well that's kind of true, they did bring something else with them which I sold to subsidies this purchase).

As you can see mostly Lego City police. Will probably build them later in the year.

Bargins at WHsmiths

I went to smiths today and got a cracking deal.

 All three books for £18.38....

and when I got home my Jabba's place had arrived. I bought it  from Amazon for £80.00

Hardly anything to write about really. I paid £15.00 for everything.

I bought another 9469 with my voucher that I had to spend. I also went to Smyth and bought 6463 and the B-wing turned up today form Lego.com.

Finally finished 8458. A nice model to build with lots of good detail. I dragged my second one out of the loft so I could see how many parts were missing from it.

This is a great build so far not too tricky, as with all set though, getting the part you want when there all jumbled together is a nightmare.

I thought I would start to build this F1 car. I bought it in the summer but have only just got around to building it. I am of course still working on my Headland stuff but I needed a break.

Just started on the chassis,this is a big build with over 100 pages in the instruction booklet.

Christmas at the Headland

Christmas Tree ready for the Headland.

I have been tasked to give the Lego Headland Hotel a Christmas theme for a treasure hunt over the month of December. I have finished the tree and as you can see from previous posts the reindeer are almost complete.

Completed the reindeer, I need to sort out the harnesses next.

Just up ended the Brown Bricks to make some reindeer's  for the Headland display.

 I was going to base it on this creator model but it would have been too wide.

I went to Toys R Us today and bought  9526-1: Palpatine's Arrest and two  9469-1: Gandalf Arrives

 Managed to get them with a 20% off voucher £5 voucher and with my loyalty card another £5.00 off total paid £73.18

In the beginning.....

 I started collecting Lego about 12 years ago. I remember seeing the new Star wars range in Forbidden Planet, Broadmead, Bristol., and thinking you can get better than that.

Star wars + Lego + a great toy.

The set I bought was the 7110 Landspeeder. a real basic set by today's Lego Star Wars standards, it didn't even have an R2 unit, but I still wasn't quite hooked yet it took another year before I started seriously looking at Lego again.
